When WiFi fails, your whole team stops.
Dropped Teams calls, lost access to business software, printers not found on the network — a poorly sized network costs far more than a proper installation. Ezohiko designs, installs and maintains WiFi and wired networks for SMEs in Dublin and across Ireland.

The difference between a consumer WiFi and a professional WiFi
A consumer internet box with a standard router costs less to buy. But it can’t handle 15 staff using Teams simultaneously. It doesn’t manage guests separately from your internal network. It doesn’t properly cover a 600 m² office floor.
Symptoms of an undersized network
- WiFi dropping during video meetings
- Slow connection when multiple people are working
- Dead zones in certain offices
- Printers or NAS not found on the network
- Clients or visitors on the same network as your internal data
What a professional network gives you
- ✅ Full coverage of your premises, tested and documented
- ✅ Guest network separated from your internal network
- ✅ Stable throughput even under peak load
- ✅ Remote monitoring: we detect issues before you do
- ✅ Easy expansion as you grow
Our method
We don’t place access points at random.
Before installing anything, we analyse your premises, your usage and your constraints. We simulate WiFi coverage from your floor plans. We identify dead spots. We validate the deployment with on-site measurement tools, before and after installation.
Needs audit
We review your usage: how many workstations, which software, will your premises evolve, do you have existing wired hardware? We start from your reality, not a catalogue.
Coverage simulation
From your floor plans, we model walls, partitions and obstacles. We determine the optimal number and position of access points before laying the first cable.
Installation & validation
We install, configure, then measure real coverage with on-site testing tools. If it doesn’t meet the target, we adjust on the spot.
Ongoing monitoring
Once the network is deployed, we can monitor it remotely. Real-time alerts, automatic updates, proactive interventions before you notice the slightest issue.
The equipment we use
Our preference
Unifi range — Ubiquiti
We don’t work with a single brand on principle, but Unifi is our main reference for its reliability, value for money and centralised management console. One interface to manage your entire network.
- Indoor and outdoor WiFi access points
- Switches with and without Power over Ethernet (PoE)
- Firewalls and routers (UDM Pro, UDR)
- VLAN management (network segmentation)
- Cloud console: monitoring from anywhere

Partner
🔒 Advanced network security
For businesses that need enhanced security: medical practices, legal firms, regulated sectors.
802.1X authentication
Each workstation or device authenticates individually before accessing the network. An unknown device — a visitor’s WiFi dongle, a personal laptop — gets no access.
Network segmentation
Your accounting data is not on the same segment as your CCTV cameras or your guest network. If one segment is compromised, the rest is protected.
NIS2 & GDPR compliance
These architectures meet the security requirements of regulatory frameworks. A well-segmented network is technical proof of compliance.
Installation or maintenance: we handle both
🔧 Installation
Moving to new premises, growing fast, or your current network can’t handle the load? We start fresh properly: cabling, switches, access points, firewall, full configuration.
🛠️ Maintenance
Your network is in place but you have recurring issues, or you simply want to be sure it’s up to date and monitored? We take over your existing setup, audit it and handle ongoing maintenance.
Frequently asked questions
Questions about professional WiFi networks
What is the difference between a professional WiFi and a consumer WiFi?
A consumer router is designed for 3 to 5 devices in a home. Professional equipment simultaneously handles 50, 100 or 200 connections without any throughput degradation. It also provides features essential in business: guest network separation, per-user access management, remote monitoring, centralised updates. The difference is felt immediately as soon as the team grows.
How many WiFi access points do I need for my premises?
It depends on the area, construction materials (concrete, metal, partitions), office layout and number of users. An open-plan office of 300 m² typically requires 2 to 4 access points. A building with several enclosed rooms may require more. We don’t answer this question without analysing your floor plan and simulating coverage — that’s what allows us to guarantee the result.
Can we improve our existing network without replacing everything?
Often, yes. An audit identifies what can be kept and what needs replacing. In many cases, existing cabling is reusable. We replace the access points, reconfigure the firewall, and performance improves significantly without starting from scratch. The audit is free and answers this question precisely.
What is a guest network and why does it matter?
A guest network is a WiFi access point separate from your internal network. Your clients, suppliers or visitors can connect to the internet without accessing your servers, printers or files. It’s a basic security measure that many SMEs still haven’t implemented. It’s also a GDPR compliance requirement if you handle personal data.
Do you handle outdoor WiFi (car parks, warehouses, terraces)?
Yes. The Unifi range includes outdoor access points designed to withstand weather and cover large areas. We install WiFi networks in warehouses, car parks, courtyards and dining areas. Coverage simulation applies outdoors just as well as indoors.
What is 802.1X and do I need it?
802.1X is an authentication protocol that verifies the identity of each device before granting network access. In practice: if someone plugs an unauthorised computer into your network, they get no access. It’s recommended for sectors handling sensitive data — healthcare, legal, accounting, finance. We deploy it in partnership with CloudAlgebra, our network security partner.
Do you offer a network maintenance contract?
Yes. Network maintenance includes remote monitoring, equipment updates, anomaly alerts and incident response. This is what allows you to prevent failures rather than suffer them. We often integrate network maintenance into a broader Fractional IT Manager engagement.
Do you operate in Dublin and across Ireland?
Yes. Ezohiko operates in Dublin and across Ireland. Some engagements can be carried out partly remotely for configuration and monitoring. For on-site work, we travel to your location.
