Network and server infrastructure

Why your internet box is no longer enough

Many SMEs still rely on a patched-together network: an ISP router, a consumer switch, a WiFi extender in the corridor. It works… until the day it doesn’t.

📶 Unstable WiFi

Consumer WiFi extenders create dead zones and dropped connections. The result: cut video calls, choppy VoIP, frustrated teams.

🔌 Chaotic cabling

Unlabelled cables, daisy-chained switches, unused wall sockets. Impossible to diagnose a problem quickly when nobody knows what’s plugged in where.

🚫 No real security

No proper firewall, no network segmentation, guests and staff on the same WiFi. A cybersecurity and GDPR compliance nightmare.

Our method

From audit to deployment: 4 key steps

1

Audit & Design

On-site visit to map your premises, identify requirements (workstations, WiFi, VoIP, VPN, CCTV) and design the ideal network architecture. You receive a clear network diagram and a detailed quote.

2

Structured cabling

Certified Cat6/Cat6a cabling installation, organised and labelled patch panel, RJ45 wall sockets in every office. Every link is tested and documented. We work cleanly, even in suspended ceilings.

3

Active equipment deployment

Installation and configuration of managed switches, professional WiFi access points, firewall, router. VLAN creation (data, VoIP, guests, IoT), QoS and security rules. All done outside your working hours.

4

Testing & Training

Full performance tests (throughput, latency, WiFi coverage), technical documentation provided, training for your team on network best practices. You’re up and running immediately with a reliable, documented network.

The components of a high-performance enterprise network

🔒 Next-generation firewall

Fortinet, pfSense or Ubiquiti depending on your budget. Application filtering, site-to-site and remote VPN, intrusion detection (IDS/IPS), advanced network segmentation.

🔀 Managed switches

PoE+ switches to power WiFi access points, IP phones and cameras over a single cable. VLANs, LACP, Spanning Tree — configured for performance and resilience.

📡 Professional WiFi

WiFi 6/6E access points (UniFi, Aruba, Meraki) with seamless roaming, captive portal for guests, centralised management. Optimal coverage validated by site survey.

🌐 VPN & Remote access

Secure VPN connections for remote workers and branch offices. WireGuard, IPSec or OpenVPN depending on your needs. Your staff work just as if they were in the office, wherever they are.

Frequently asked questions

Your questions about enterprise network installation

How long does it take to install a complete enterprise network?

For an SME of 10 to 30 workstations, allow 1 to 3 days depending on complexity (number of floors, existing cabling, equipment to integrate). We plan deployment outside your working hours — often at weekends — so your team comes back on Monday to a fully operational network with zero disruption.

Do we need to redo all the cabling or can we reuse what’s there?

It depends on the state of your existing cabling. If your cables are Cat5e or Cat6 and properly installed, we can often reuse them. Our initial audit includes a test of every existing link. If some cables are damaged, badly terminated or Cat5 (too old for Gigabit), we recommend targeted recabling rather than a full replacement — to keep your budget under control.

What is the difference between consumer WiFi and professional WiFi?

A professional WiFi access point (UniFi, Aruba, Meraki) handles dozens of devices simultaneously without performance loss, offers seamless roaming between access points (your devices switch without dropping), allows centralised management of all connections, and separates networks (staff, guests, IoT) via dedicated SSIDs and VLANs. A home extender does none of this.

What budget should I plan for an enterprise network?

The cost depends on your premises size, number of workstations and the level of equipment you need. For a Dublin SME of 10 to 20 workstations on a single site, projects start from a few thousand euros, including cabling and active equipment. We always present several options (entry-level, recommended, premium) so you can choose with full information. The audit and quote are free.

Can the network scale if the business grows?

It’s actually a central criterion of our design approach. We systematically size the cabling and switches with 30 to 50% headroom for growth. Adding workstations, a new floor or a remote site is done without recabling everything. The equipment we install (stackable switches, WiFi access points on a controller) is designed to scale incrementally.

Do you operate in Dublin and across Ireland?

Yes. Our main area of operation is Dublin and across Ireland. We work regularly in the Greater Dublin Area and beyond. For multi-site projects, we can coordinate installations across Ireland with our network of qualified partners.
